Today’s smartphone world is definitely dominated by Google’s Android OS, which is pretty much everywhere, but every once in a while, an intrepid company, such as Samsung, dares to release a smartphone that runs a different breed of an OS.
The Samsung Omnia M is one of these smartphones. Running Windows Phone 7, the Omnia M is a large screen handset, yet really affordable judging from the pictures and hardware specs. One thing’s for sure – Samsung bets on its 4-inch Super AMOLED display that runs at 800 x 480 pixels.
The rest of the hardware includes a 1 GHz single core processor, 384 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage capacity, a 5 MP rear camera, a front camera for video calls, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, A-GPS and a micro USB 2.0 port.
In addition to all this the Samsung Omnia M comes with a variety of Samsung applications and 25 GB of free SkyDrive storage space.
The only thing that ruins this pretty sweet picture is the fact that neither official launch date nor pricing is known.
