The first day of SIIMA awards which gave awards for the next gen was a spectacular and a glamourous affair. The Next Gen awards were presented to the stars young guns of South Indian Film Industry who have left a mark nationally. The night lived upto its name in every way with some outstanding performances by multi talented singer and actress Andrea Jeremiah andChinmayi Sripada. The evening was hosted by former beauty queen Parvathy Omanakuttan.
Popular Designer Shravan who is a favourite among most of the southern stars presented his collection with a black and white and Eastman Era theme. The ramp looked like a silver screen with a number of actors and actresses from the four industries walking the ramp. Stars such as Rana Dagubbati, Diganth, Ajmal, Shriya Saran, Lakshmi Rai, Andrita Ray, Charmee , Richa Gangopadhyay and many more were seen setting the stage on fire. The eve was attended by a huge number of stars from the four industries .
Senior actors such as Ambarish, Sumalatha, Sarath Rajkumar, Kushboo, Namitha and many more were seen enjoying the show and supporting their respective industries. Among the other stars who were seen occupying the front seat were Madhavan, Shruti Haasan, Manchu Lakshmi and Manoj Manchu, Trisha, Amala Paul, Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajnikanth, Simbu , Vikram, Puneet Rajkumar and many more.
The awards night promises to be even more starry with a huge number of stars still expected to descend in the golden city of Dubai. The SIIMA Gen Next awards were given away in the following categories.
